How Bravus Small Group Personal Training Works: Our Chilliwack Training Schedule

Bravus Small Group Personal Training session in Chilliwack with a coach guiding clients through strength exercises.

Structured four-week training blocks. Individual progression. Flexible class times. Here’s what to expect when you train at Bravus Chilliwack.

As we get closer to opening the doors to our new Bravus Fitness studio in Chilliwack, we’ve been receiving some great questions about how our Small Group Personal Training sessions will work. How many people will be in each session? Will everyone do the same workout? How often will the workouts change? And if you’re training three days per week, which days should you choose? These are important questions because Small Group Personal Training isn’t the same as walking into a traditional group fitness class.

Our goal is to bring the structure, progression and individual attention of personal training into a small group environment, while giving our members enough training times to fit fitness into real life.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • Bravus Small Group Personal Training sessions are 50 minutes and are designed for a maximum of six people.
  • Our regular weekly programming will include two lower-body, two upper-body and two full-body conditioning workouts.
  • Training will generally follow four-week programming blocks, giving members enough consistency to track progress instead of starting over with completely different workouts every week.
  • The overall program is shared, but load, repetitions, exercise variations and progression can be individualized.
  • Members training three days per week can naturally distribute their training across one lower-body, one upper-body and one full-body conditioning session.
  • With 55 planned Small Group Personal Training sessions each week, members will have multiple morning and evening options.
  • Dedicated Seniors Small Group Personal Training is also in the planning stages.

A Training Program, Not Just a Different Workout Every Day

A good training program doesn’t need a completely different workout every time you walk into the gym. At Bravus, we’re taking a more structured approach built around progression and measurable performance. Our Small Group Personal Training programming will generally be organized into four-week training blocks. During each block, the underlying structure of a workout will remain relatively consistent from week to week.

Why? Because consistency gives us something to measure.

If you perform a particular movement once and then don’t see it again for several weeks, it can be difficult to determine whether you’re improving. Repeating key movements gives you an opportunity to become more comfortable with technique, establish appropriate training loads and measure progress over time.

That doesn’t mean training with the same load or intensity every week. One person may progress by increasing weight. Someone else may perform more repetitions with the same weight. Another person may be working on range of motion, tempo, stability or improving the quality of the movement itself. That distinction is an important part of what makes Small Group Personal Training different from a traditional group fitness class.

The program is shared. The prescription is individualized.

How Our Weekly Small Group Personal Training Schedule Will Work

Our regular Small Group Personal Training schedule is being built around six different workouts each week:

Day

Training Focus

Monday

Lower Body A

Tuesday

Upper Body A

Wednesday

Full Body Conditioning A

Thursday

Lower Body B

Friday

Upper Body B

Saturday

Full Body Conditioning B

Sunday

Studio Closed

Every regular Small Group Personal Training session offered on a particular day will follow that day’s training program. For example, Monday is Lower Body A. Whether you train Monday morning or Monday evening, you’ll be completing the Lower Body A program for that training block. This gives us consistency in our programming while still providing members with flexibility in when they train.

The “A” and “B” workouts also allow us to provide two different training exposures for each category during the week. Lower Body A and Lower Body B, for example, can place different emphasis on movement patterns while still fitting within the overall goals of that four-week training block.

Our Wednesday and Saturday Full Body Conditioning sessions will have a different emphasis, combining full-body resistance training with a conditioning-focused structure designed to challenge work capacity and overall fitness alongside strength. At the end of the four-week block, programming can progress into the next phase while maintaining the weekly structure members have become familiar with.

When Can You Train at Bravus Chilliwack?

We’ve designed our schedule to provide options before work, throughout the morning and again through the late afternoon and evening.

Monday through Friday:

5:00 a.m. | 6:00 a.m. | 7:00 a.m. | 8:00 a.m. | 9:00 a.m. | 10:00 a.m.

4:00 p.m. | 5:00 p.m. | 6:00 p.m. | 7:00 p.m. | 8:00 p.m.

Saturday:

8:00 a.m. | 9:00 a.m. | 10:00 a.m. | 11:00 a.m. | 12:00 p.m.

Sunday:

The studio will normally be closed on Sundays, although we may occasionally open for special events, seminars, open houses or other scheduled activities. That gives us 55 planned Small Group Personal Training sessions each week.

Offering multiple sessions allows us to maintain the structure of your program while giving you more flexibility in when you train. If you normally train Monday at 7:00 a.m. but need to book an evening session one week, you can still complete Monday’s Lower Body A workout, subject to class availability.

It’s one of the ways we’re putting our philosophy into practice: We Fit Your Life.

Training Three Days Per Week? Here’s How It Can Work

For members training three days per week, there are two natural ways to distribute training across the schedule.

Monday / Wednesday / Friday

Lower Body A → Full Body Conditioning A → Upper Body B

Or:

Tuesday / Thursday / Saturday

Upper Body A → Lower Body B → Full Body Conditioning B

Both options provide one lower-body, one upper-body and one full-body conditioning workout during the week. These aren’t mandatory training days. Life rarely fits perfectly into a Monday-Wednesday-Friday schedule every week, which is why we’re offering multiple training times and six days of programming.

If your schedule changes, our coaches can help you determine which sessions make the most sense based on what you’ve already completed that week, your membership and your individual training goals.

What Happens During a 50-Minute Small Group Personal Training Session?

Our sessions are designed to feel much more like personal training than a traditional fitness class. A typical strength-focused workout will generally include around six exercises, with many exercises programmed for approximately three working sets in the 10–12 repetition range. Our Full Body Conditioning sessions may use a different structure based on the goals of that workout. However, those numbers are guidelines rather than rigid rules.

The number of sets and repetitions, exercise selection, loading, rest periods and other training variables can change depending on the movement, the purpose of the workout and the individual performing it. More importantly, the exercise prescription doesn’t need to be identical for everyone in the group. A coach may adjust an exercise variation, load or repetition target based on an individual’s ability, experience and progression.

With a maximum of six people in each Small Group Personal Training session, our coaches can focus on technique, progression and individual feedback rather than leading the room through a standardized workout.

Think of it as personal training within a small group.

What If You Can’t Make Your Regular Training Time?

Consistency matters, but so does having a training schedule that works in the real world. If you normally attend the 7:00 a.m. session but have an early meeting one Monday, you may be able to book another available Monday session and still complete the same Lower Body A workout.

Likewise, you aren’t required to attend the exact same three class times every week. Your preferred schedule can give you a consistent routine, while the broader schedule gives you options when life changes. Sessions will still be subject to available booking capacity, which is another reason we’re keeping groups small and offering multiple time slots throughout the week.

What About Seniors Small Group Personal Training?

We’re also in the planning stages for dedicated Seniors Small Group Personal Training at our Chilliwack studio. Our current plan is to offer dedicated sessions on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, with full-body programming designed around progressive strength training and individual ability. Final class times will depend on member interest as we approach opening.

Personal Training. Small Group. Measurable Progress.

The goal behind our Small Group Personal Training model is simple: create enough consistency to measure progress, enough individualization to meet people where they are, and enough scheduling flexibility to make training realistic.

  • You’ll have a structured program.
  • You’ll know what you’re working toward.
  • Your coach will know how you’re progressing.
  • And you won’t need to figure it all out on your own.

Frequently Asked Questions About Bravus Small Group Personal Training in Chilliwack

How many people are in a Bravus Small Group Personal Training session?

Our Small Group Personal Training sessions are designed for a maximum of six people. Keeping groups small allows our coaches to provide more individual attention to technique, loading, exercise modifications and progression.

Each session is 50 minutes. Our schedule provides time between sessions for clients to transition and for coaches to prepare for the next group.

Our programming will generally follow four-week training blocks. This means you’ll see consistency in key exercises and workout structure so that progress can be measured. Your individual load, repetitions, technique or exercise variation may progress throughout the block.

The group follows the same overall training program, but the individual prescription can vary. Coaches can adjust loads, repetitions and exercise variations according to each member’s ability and progression.

A typical session will generally include around six exercises, with many movements programmed for approximately three sets of 10–12 repetitions. This will vary according to the exercise, workout and goals of the training block.

Two natural options are Monday, Wednesday and Friday or Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Both provide one lower-body, one upper-body and one full-body conditioning workout. These schedules aren’t mandatory, and our coaches can help you choose training days that work with your availability and goals.

Yes, subject to booking availability. Because every regular Small Group Personal Training session on a particular day follows the same program, changing from a morning to an evening time on that day won’t mean missing the scheduled workout.

Dedicated Seniors Small Group Personal Training is currently in the planning stages, with Monday, Wednesday and Friday sessions being considered based on interest. These sessions are planned around full-body strength training, with exercises and progression adjusted according to individual ability.
